Kors Engineering Deploys PleXML Tool at Marion IndustriesProgrammable Logic Controllers (PLC) Implementations Ensure High Quality Levels Maintained Kors Engineering today announced they have concluded integration of its PleXML tool with machines at Marion Industries, resulting in improved manufacturing processes. Marion, Ohio-based Marion Industries, a division of Ernie Green Industries, is a Tier One supplier to Honda of America and specializes in suspension component assemblies which consist of fastening and press applications. PleXML validates the status of assemblies prior to packaging as a finished good, ensuring the quality of all packed parts and assemblies. PleXML coordinates with a custom data collection solution to ensure a flawless poka-yoke process – a Japanese term used in lean manufacturing which refers to “mistake-proofing” the manufacturing process. “PleXML integration assists in maintaining the quality of our component assembly output,” said Marion Industries Process Engineer Jonathan D. Carle. “Coordination with our data collection solution and Plex Online requires that only validated parts and assemblies ever leave our facility.” “Helping manufacturers ensure their products meet or surpass their quality specifications is critical for us,” said Kors Engineering President Tony Kaczmarek. “PLC implementations help operators monitor and control the rigorous quality standards which ultimately results in satisfied customers.” |
